York Ski Club members can join our ski trips to a variety of great winter sports destinations. Whether you are a beginner just learning to ski or snowboard, an intermediate, or an expert, we strive to offer affordable trips that cater to all ability levels of skiers and snowboarders. We offer day, weekend, week-long, and midweek trips. With destinations in the Mid-Atlantic, New England, and Western US and Canada, we have trips to suit anyone's budget and schedule. We always try to make our trips as affordable as possible; the prices typically include lift tickets, lodging, and transportation (except car pool trips). Some meals are usually included. For those who don't plan to ski every day, our destinations often have other activities available (such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, etc.). Discounts for non-skiers are also available. With the group camaraderie on and off the snow, you can be sure everyone will have a great time! Keep reading to see all the details and to sign up for the ski trips we are offering for the current winter season.

Belleayre Mountain Trip 2012 (January 6 - 8)

The 2012 ski season "soft opening" will include a trip to Pine Hill, NY to ski our beloved Belleayre Mountain.

The club will once again be lodging at the Colonial Inn. Trip includes Fri-Sat lodging; Sat/Sun breakfast; Sat-evening buffet; and 2-day lift ticket. Trip pricing is the same as last year-$240 pp double; $230 pp triple; $220 pp quad; and $320 pp single. Non-skiers or those who can take advantage of senior discounts can deduct $70 from the price. As always, arrangements can be made for early arrivals and those wishing to rent equipment. To ensure your spot, full payment is due upon signup.

Big Sky, Montana Trip 2012 (January 21 – 28)

Only a few more spaces available, don't be left out! Come ski more than 5000 acres (Big Sky and Moonlight Basin), with 4350 vertical, amazing slopes for all levels, and 400 inches of snow in 2011. Want to include other non-skiing activities? There's snowshoeing, dog sledding, Nordic skiing, and horseback riding. And…. bison, moose, elk, Old Faithful, and more are waiting for you at nearby Yellowstone Park via snowcoach or snowmobile.

Timberline / Canaan, WV Trip 2012 (February 9 — 13)

Trip Leader: Chip Konrad. Trip will include 4 night stay for the price of a 3-night stay (1 night is free) and 2-day lift ticket for maximum flexibility. Minimum of 20 with a Max of 25 people. (We need 20 people for group lift ticket pricing.) Trip price $289 for Thursday thru Monday with Friday night pizza night included in the very low price of this trip. Non-Skier rate only $225.00.

Carpool with friends to Davis, West Virginia on Thursday after work. Stay in Pedestal homes at Black Bear Resort, located just a few miles from Timberline and Canaan Resorts, and Blackwater Falls State Park. These individually owned homes have 3 - 4 bedrooms and 2 - 3 bathrooms, full kitchens, fireplaces, and jacuzzis. Ski Canaan (850' Vertical) as a group on Friday. Rent cross-country skis, snowshoes, or ski the resorts on Saturday on your own. There is nearly a million acres of wilderness around this area. Chip will lead a beginner/intermediate backcountry tour (A 3-hour tour) from Canaan Resort to White Grass Ski Touring area. First-timers welcome. On Sunday, we'll ski Timberline (1000' Vertical) as a group. On Monday, ski Canaan for $15.00* (with a can of food as a donation), (not included in price), snowshoe, or visit partially-frozen Blackwater Falls (FREE), a short drive from the resort. Drive home Monday afternoon.

Okemo, VT Trip 2012 (March 4 - 7)

Our New England trip, this season, is to Okemo, VT. We are staying at The Pointe at Castle Hill resort for three nights with full hot breakfast each day. The trip includes round trip transportation via Conestoga Tours 55-passenger motor coach, a two-day lift ticket, shuttle service to and from the mountain and all taxes and gratuities. ALL OF THIS for only $389.00 (per person, double occupancy), $375.00 (per person, triple occupancy), $357.00 (per person, quadruple occupancy), and $542.00 (single occupancy). Prices are based on 24 sign ups. Payment is due upon signup. There are discounts for Jr., Sr., Super Sr. and non-skiers. There will be an extra charge for a third day of skiing.
